Insurance at all levels

Insurance is about risk and the preparation for it. Insurance understandably creates peace of mind and economic stability. Why though? I think of the protections for demise first-because we will die at some point, those left behind have a hard time emotionally they should not have financial pain also. From my mom losing her mother at a young age to the horror of people my age in car accidents, death is the only law all of us must follow.
